Rick Davies & Jazzismo

Jazzismo (6 piece) - Latin Jazz Band. Jazzismo, led by trombonist Rick Davies, is a Latin jazz sextet featuring some of the finest salsa and Latin jazz musicians. Davies approach is to play with a swing that is not only harmonic but also danceable. Rick has gained his knowledge of the Latin scene by performing with heavies like Tito Puente, Johnny Colon, Charlie Palmieri, Marc Anthony, Manny Oquendo's Libre, Rey Reyes, Johnny Ray and Wayne Gorbea.

Salsa Strut is the first recording by Jazzismo and contains seven compositions by leader Rick Davies. Davies is joined on the recording by alto saxophonist Sam Furnace, pianist Arturo O’Farrill, bassist Harvie Swartz, drummer Vince Cherico, and conga player Juan Rodríguez.

Jazzismo is the Best Latin Jazz Band around. This Band is perfect for colleges, weddings and concerts.

Jazzismo recently has been the opening act for the Flynn Theater Concerts.
