Jazz Band

Carl S. Jazz Ensemble performs jazz vocals and instrumentals by many of the genre's greatest composers, such as Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hart, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Thelonious Monk, and Charles Mingus.

Audiences will be treated to fresh sounds and fresh arrangements, in styles of ballad, swing, Latin, bebop, funk and more. The group's sound is often described as "smooth", "tight" and "swinging" while material remains very improvisational and interesting to the audience.

The group prides itself on dusting off lesser-known tunes and presenting them in a new and different light.

This Jazz Band has performed at prestigious public and private events at venues such as FlynnSpace, Elley Long Music Center, Firehouse Gallery, and Vermont National Country Club.
